'Ahmadinejad is not a lame duck

Rarely does a day go by that president of Iran is not a major news item- The sixth president of Iran has consistently condemed the aggression of the Israeli state and especially their oppression against Palestinians. He has consistently criticized the United States of America and Europeans for the full support of the new apartheid in Middle East. His critiques have been met with an attempt to demonize him both by the Israeli´s and most western media sources. The Israeli government has gone so far to accuse Ahmadinejad of inciting genocide over a mistranslated 2005 speech, while Iranian diplomats have declared Iran has no intention to attack Israel. These demonizations have painted Ahmadinejad as an unstable and insane leader, but this fails to capture the real Ahmadinejad. So who really is Ahmadinejad?Ahmadinejad an engineer and professor of technical university in Tehran, son of a blacksmithis, began his political career as governor to both Maku and Khoy in West Azarbaijan Province during the 1980s,He served for a short time as mayor of Tehran.Dressed as Garbage man, and supported the Conservative and lower class communities in south of Tehran, Later he was supported by the same people who where tired aristocrat wing of Islam republic, Rafsanjani former president of Iran was his main rival, he is famous for having lavish life and persuading neo-liberal policies.Ahmadinejad had no experience of foreign affairs, and he had early gaffes, obviously he was over excited in the new post. This humble man, Is a strong beliver in his faith and wants to be the voice of the poor. he said I'm a teacher, he repeatedly mentioned I have an inquire about Holocaust, I'm asking why this historical event should be a cover for atrocities of Israeli soldiers in Gaza?Mr Ahmadinejad independent candidate spent no money on his presidential campaign - but he was backed by powerful conservatives who had close ties with the supreme leader of Iran Mr Khamenehi. The populist president loyal to the Islamic revolution, implement de-centralization policy and organized numerous trips all around the country, thousands of blue cheep labour and farmers gather in his popular speeches, he defended Iran’s nuclear program, he is emphasizing Iran has the right to enrich uranium and this program has peaceful means, today enrichment of uranium is the dominant doctrine of Iran and his rivals are not condemning his hard position in negotiations with IAEA.UN sanctions have squeezed banking system and financial sector, high inflation rates and ever growing demand for jobs are the main challenges for Ahmadinejad.Mr Mosavi his rival is the last prim minister of Iran before the constitutional changes which removed the post of prime minister, after death of ayatollah Khomeini he left the political scene, now he is back after two decades being out of as a moderate reformist, he served as prime minister for eight years and people have good memories of his time. Mosavi is an artist and professor of traditional architecture a leftist who is well known for driving his old car and not being corrupt. He promised to increase the coverage of public insurance, he criticized Mr Ahmadinejad for mis management and wishes to implement economic reforms and law enforcement, establishment of private television are among his goals.Iran's former parliament speaker Mehdi Karroub worked hard for the last four years and could lobby with many prominent political figures such as well known former mayor of Tehran Karbaschi and parliament members, as well as philosophers and intellectuals. His focus is condemnation of current administration, he promised for more liberal policies

Dream Deferred Essay Contest or Who fucked my dreams

It is late in the night, I'm discussing about Arabic hits and music, I ask my friend Lilian, I know many Libanies and Egyptian singers but no Palestinian singer.
She said:you know we Palestinians are always busy with conflicts, Jihad or Istish-had (Suicide attack) some one killed or imprisoned or wounded so no time to introduce singers.
I'm contemplating and searching in the Internet, I find this ad about Dream Deferred.
HAMSA's annual contest comes from a 1951 Langston Hughes poem: What Happens to a Dream Deferred? It promotes Democracy and Human rights in neoconservative style.
In the web page they say: Today, it can inspire your dream deferred for the Middle East.
Oh Thank you American dude for helping me, that my dreams come true.
As you see there is a contest for young Middle Eastern, Who should write an essay which is an answer to limited questions.
The contest has two parts: one for Middle Eastern youth and one for American youth. Write a brief essay addressing one of the questions below. Winning essays - selected by a panel of celebrity judges - receive $10,000 in prizes.
Very generous American friends want to give savage middle-eastern 10,000.Sounds good!
When I read Rules for the "Dream Deferred Essay Contest"
They have explained about What are common mistakes to avoid when writing an essay?
Shameless judges
of the contest point out that :
Do not focus on US government policy and regional geo-politics (the Iraq War debate, the Arab-Israeli-Iranian conflict, Iran's nuclear program, etc.). Essays based on these topics are disqualified. Judges are looking for essays that explore what ordinary citizens can do on the grassroots level to strengthen individual rights within Middle Eastern societies. These civil rights include, but are not limited to, free expression, women's equality, minority rights, religious freedom, economic liberty, and artistic freedom.
Mother fuckers you think if I write about Iran-Iraq war,it is a common mistake?
You already fucked my childhood dreams by giving long range missiles,Chemical and mass destruction weapons to Iraqi army.
Saddam's army could attack my city by American rockets,French Mirage and Russian tanks.
You mean my Palestinian friend shouldn't make a Common mistake and write about Arab Israeli conflict. So she should write abut Economic liberty but not about the hungry children of Gaza.
Iraqi brother is disqualified if writes about burdens of the white man and harassments by occupiers.
We can't Focus on American policy ,Hilarious statement,go to hell with your fucking contests and 10,000 USD prize, and rules, who gave you this authority to decide what we should write about?
American troops are walking on the streets of Najaf and Karbala but Iraqi citizens should not write about American foreign policy.

Masomeh Naseri Iranian blogger inspired me by his post about this contest.

Once I wrote an essay about effect of International aid for developing countries on the long run,
Mostly we ( Patrick the Irish brother, and Titi from Nigeria and me) referred to the case African and Sub Saharan countries.
We used the book: Burdens of White man!
Now I saw this video in BBC.
Also this report is interesting.
Also there is no general conclusion about the effects of foreign aid and these articles are kind of Pup style rather than academic work.Major foreign aid that has been delivered to developing countries were in the form of military packs to protect allies against Soviet union.Neither humanitarian nor developing budgets.

Are Iranian Women Overeducated?

Good article written by Djavad Salehi-Isfahani,

Making Capitalism More Creative

Capitalism has improved the lives of billions of people — something that's easy to forget at a time of great economic uncertainty. But it has left out billions more. They have great needs, but they can't express those needs in ways that matter to markets. So they are stuck in poverty, suffer from preventable diseases and never have a chance to make the most of their lives. Governments and nonprofit groups have an irreplaceable role in helping them, but it will take too long if they try to do it alone. It is mainly corporations that have the skills to make technological innovations work for the poor. To make the most of those skills, we need a more creative capitalism: an attempt to stretch the reach of market forces so that more companies can benefit from doing work that makes more people better off. We need new ways to bring far more people into the system — capitalism — that has done so much good in the world.

It Takes a School, Not Missiles

Each Tomahawk missile that the United States fires in Afghanistan costs at least $500,000. That’s enough for local aid groups to build more than 20 schools, and in the long run those schools probably do more to destroy the Taliban .
Mr. Bush has focused on military force and provided more than $10 billion — an extraordinary sum in the foreign-aid world — to the highly unpopular government of President Pervez Musharraf. This approach has failed: the backlash has radicalized Pakistan’s tribal areas so that they now nurture terrorists in ways that they never did before 9/11.
